To showcase these rich traditional designs, a short fashion show was held during the opening ceremony of the International Festival of Ibn Battuta held last November 9 – 12, 2018 at the quaint city of Tangier in Morocco. The event which promotes universal values, peace and tolerance featured the young designer Hana Mrabet of Boutique Hana Mode.
The runway showcased a line of impressive Caftan worn by women. It’s a one-piece traditional long dress that can be used, depending on the material, as an everyday casual dress or as haute-couture attire on formal events. The Moroccan couture, embroidered, beaded and bejeweled, designed by the dressmaker caught the attention of the audience.
