Moroccan Dress Collections by Hanae Mrabet of boutiqe hana Mode during the opening ceremony of International Festival of Ibn Battuta (Festival of Peace and Tolerance – Universal Values)
The captivating Kingdom of Morocco filled with many surprises is a nation that is lush regarding culture, traditions, religion, geography, and history. The dress pattern as part of the cultural heritage is just part of an element on the numerous features that have been inspired by this diversity.
Typically, Moroccans still continue to wear the traditional clothing of their ancestors without extensive modification or influence from that of Western fashion. To showcase these rich traditional designs, a short fashion show was held during the opening ceremony of the International Festival of Ibn Battuta held last November 9 – 12, 2018 at the quaint city of Tangier in Morocco. The event which promotes universal values, peace and tolerance featured the young designer Hana Mrabet of Boutique Hana Mode.
The runway showcased a line of impressive Caftan worn by women. It’s a one-piece traditional long dress that can be used, depending on the material, as an everyday casual dress or as haute-couture attire on formal events. The Moroccan couture, embroidered, beaded and bejeweled, designed by the dressmaker caught the attention of the audience.
