Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio conceived on 11th of November 1974 is an American on-screen actor & filmmaker. DiCaprio’s entertainment career started in TV plugs in the mid-1990s, and appearances in different TV series, like Santa Barbara & Growing Pains. His mother, Irmelin is a legal secretary while his father George DiCaprio, an Italian-German is an underground artist/producer/distributor of comic books and maker/merchant of comic books. DiCaprio’s dad is of Italian (from Naples) and German (from Bavaria) drop. In Russia during an interview, DiCaprio called himself as “half-Russian” & shared that 2 of his grandparents were Russian. Parents of Leo met while in school and eventually transferred to Los Angeles, California.
Taking after the success of his movie Titanic, then 24-year-old DiCaprio founded the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in 1998, a non-profit organization committed to campaign for environmental awareness, primarily focusing on global warming, protecting the Earth’s biodiversity and supporting renewable energies.
