Business Initiative Directions or BID, a company based in New York awarded the International Quality Star to Mohammed VI University Hospital located in Marrakech.
The report states that the health facility was honored for its groundbreaking projects and top management quality.
Dr. Hicham Nejmi, the hospital director shared their feeling of pride but also states that there seems to have more responsibility now. The recognition is but a result of long constant hard work by everyone working at the hospital.
The hospital appoints Isam Khay, a quality service manager as an International Quality Ambassador. The designation, according to Khay, symbolizes several years of hard work to boost quality healthcare in Morocco.
Dr. Nejmi further shared that Mohammed VI University leading eye, bone and tissue bank in Africa. It has take on a lot of innovative projects in Morocco like launching of telemedicine, virtual teaching approach and educational technology.
This Marrakech hospital has also introduced a green strategy to lessen energy price and boost the utilization of renewable energy. The health facility has invested two million Moroccan dirhams in including solar energy in its electricity system.
This has also been included in the kingdom’s African cooperation strategy. The Marrakech hospital facilitated in setting up an emergency training center in Ivory Coast.
Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali and Gabon are just some countries they have partnered with medical institutions in Africa.
Business Initiative Directions has recently presented Operation Smile Morocco projected the International Quality Crown for extending medical aid to kids who are born with genetic cleft lip malformation.
